Ike Guys: Could you post an image of the rare partial Pegleg on the 1971-S Proof Ike?

I am in the middle of looking thru a hoard of about 200 1971-S proof brown Ikes searching for the rare type 1 reverse. Could someone PLEASE post an image of the1971-S PROOF rare partial Pegleg? Thanks!!image I think I may have found two of these.

  • Don't need an image. (Also don't know how, yet though I'll try later today).
    - the R is a typical severely faded peg leg, that is, the left leg has a serious case of the dwindles, maybe 2/3 full peg leg length cameo'd and it literally fades into the field at the foot end.
    - the marker is VERY low relief IGWT, especially GOD: the "O" usually does not even close with polish lines and shiny field showing through where the body of the O would normally be at around 8 o'clock.
    - other letter devices are also in lower than normal relief but it may not be obvious. Central device seems normal.

    Wexler has a picture of the "O" on page 187 (I think) in his first edition and some pages later in the second.

    If you have a stereo microscope and can tilt your candidate PPL's, you will know in a few seconds. Even tilting under a loupe is dramatic as GOD is just so flat. Rob
