fair market value?

in response to the amount of people intrested and that have knowledge of this coin a 1914 ngc pr66*br matte proof lincoln cent.

if it indeed has been doctored, and then slabbed by ngc, and there is evidence of such foul play, what would the fair market value be under their warranty?
its a lovely coin, but if there is this much contraversy surrounding this coin, it should be looked at more closely by ngc...
what are everyones thoughts on this?

this could happen to any toned coin. if one guy is willing to rip out a $6-700 coin, then who else is?
i personally am putting in the research time on this very subject...

If NGC, or PCGS for that matter if the coin were in a PCGS holder, determines that the coin is market acceptable then they likely would not buy it back and likely would not determine a fair market value. If, however, they were to decide that they made an error in slabbing the coin to begin with then they would apparently have to determine a fair market value, but it might not be anywhere near the premium paid buy the new owner.
