Kennedy Photos. Comments on coin and photos welcome.

These aren't the best photos, but I thought I wuold put them up for fun. Feel free to grade and comment on the toning. The color is actually much darker in hand, brown and reds and greens, though the colors are very subtle, it's mostly a darker brown. The coin has great luster underneath the color.

I'd love to get it slabbed but I don't think it would with the color, though I know it is natural.

I don't know why, but this ugly Kennedy is one of my favorites. The luster just makes it glow from under all of the toning.

Maybe it's just the lighting, but I'm seeing wear on the base of the bust, the cheek and hair, which makes it AU in my book...I would keep it the way it is, sans plastic...

The photos show a great deal of luster.
  • I think the wear you see is actually lighting - I don't see any rub in hand, and the color is darker there.

Though I suppose it could be rub.
