What's up with cheap silver on ebay tonight?

I just won three lots of 1964 halves, 27 halves total from the same seller for $110. I watched an auction end with 40 1964 halves for $177. Many 1964 quarter rolls ending around $90-92. Am I missing something here? Is Sunday night a good time to get silver on ebay?

I wouldn't call that "cheap" thats about the going rate right now given the price of silver.

How much was shipping? You have to factor that into the price people are willing to pay. If the $94 roll had 10 for shipping it isnt that much of a deal.

My total shipping came out to $8. The shipping on the lot of 40 was $8.50. The person that won the lot of 40 paid about 186 total.

Right. The sellers got a reasonable wholesale price and the buyers paid a reasonable retail price. The profit went to eBay and the post office.

I think you got a great deal! Those are BU coins as well! An identical 3 batches went for a total of $17 more last Sunday.

Maybe people are out spending a little too much on Christmas presents and don't have as much coin $ to play with?

We'll see what happens to another identical three batches of them this Sunday.

If I bought coins on Ebay (which I don't) it would seem like a good time to do so. Christmas slows things down there (at least in coins and bullion).

Hey, the seller's a member here. I was really surprised I didn't pay at least $40 for each. I put in a $42 snipe bid for all three expecting to be either outbidded or my bid run to the max. I couldn't believe seeing that other that went for $177 for 40 of them. Thanks, paypal payment will be sent tomorrow morning.
