I found a 1989 cent with no neck lines . the coin is in BU . Has anyone ever heard of this before?

Sounds like It could be a struck through or a weak strike or heavily polished die or something else.

I've seen some of these before.... as well as some 'neckless' Jefferson nickels. Not sure they have any additional value, but have to admit I just do not know. Most likely due to worn, abraded dies.
