Went to a coin show today- updated image

Eventhough I went just to see someone, I did end up buying a coin. It is a Russian 20 kopeks. Here is a quick image. My copy stand is still packed away. Can anyone give an approx. grade just from one side?

Nice crusty 20 Kopecks, Don! Hard to judge the grade without the reverse. Love the skin on it, though.

Even after I lightened the image in Photoshop it was hard to tell... VF-XF ish.

It looks like an XF to me from what I can see after I inverted the colors. It looks like some damage at about 4 o'clock though. I'm guessing by having looked at a number of inverted pics from eBay auctions that I know a little bit more about (German coins) and having purchased some of them it looks like there is a little wear but overall a pleasing coin that if I collected wouldn't mind adding to my set.

Is that a die break or a scratch on the reverse at 11:00? If the former, I'd give the coin an EF40-45.

45 minimum and 50 is not completely out of the question depending on what lustre can be seen tilting the coin. It is very nice

When I look at the coin with the naked eye, I can't see the mark.

Looks like an XF45, to me - AU depending on the amount of luster not showing-up in the image. Cool little Russian, Don!
