Any thoughts on this MS63 auction being a scam? Looks very familiar.

Atlanta GA ebay $20 Lib 63

Any thoughts on this being a scam. I noticed some similarities to the auction that bit me back in October. Same area: Atlanta, GA.
While probably not a lifted auction as before, this one is amateurishly done and inviting you "in" on the upgrade potential.
The bid was run up by one bidder in 1-2 days (similar to my auction).
However I cannot go back and compare as the pbasofin auction was deleted from ebay.

Seller doesn't appear to have a lot of knowledge other than how to hype. Old green case? Come on. And their history of selling is mostly car parts.

Comments? I'd probe them via email but my ebay ID would be recognized if it were the same party.

I'll shoot em an email from my account. Just post or PM me with whatever details you'd like asked.
I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

    This one accepts PayPal, though.

Feel free to ask them details about the coin that would involve intimate knowledge of the type/grading/rarity, etc. If they know about upgrading then they are somewhat knowledgeable. First thought is why aren't they doing the upgrade if they are sure it is a 64+ and not a 63. They should know the difference in price from 63 to 64. If they don't, then they don't own the coin. Ask them what the green label means or if they have any NGC graded coins with a similar "green" label. Do they have other similar rare coins and if so, what are they or.....why not. If they know about upgrading they should have more coins. Where'd they buy it from? How long have they held it? Suggest that this holder is from the late 1980's (it's not!) and if they have been the orig owner since the 1980's. Etc.

Thanks for the help. The coin is worth in the $1225 to $1300 range but I won't be bidding on it. It just doesn't feel right to me. But if it's the same guys as before, I'd like of sniff of them again.
All of their emails came in on "xxxx.gmail.com"

They can always turn down paypal Russ can't they? Or when you go to check out, maybe they change their minds? I'm not sure how many buyers of $1000 coins pay by paypal or some other means such as MO/checks. I for one have been a "check" guy since 2002 with only a couple of money orders and paypal only when there was no other option with the seller. But it's a plus pt for the seller just having paypal as you said.
