    Good list, I'd remove Waterboy and add Brian's Song, The Hustler, and 8 Men Out.
  • I always liked 'Brian's Song' and 'Bang the Drum Slowly', too.

    5- big lebowski (enough bowling in it to count!!)

    9- raging bull (thought of it too late, it's my #1, but, again, not really about the sport)
    10- the fan (deniro)
    honorable mention- Tiger Town (childhood favorite)
    honorable mention #2- Casey at the Bat (Elliot Gould, Shelley Duvall's Tall tales and Legends)

    i realize many of these are unconventional choices and questionable sports but i think they count!! just be glad i didn't throw in Strangers on a Train for tennis!!!

    I'll come up with an entire list later, but I wanted to ask - hasn't ANYBODY seen The Stratton Story? That one is in my top 3 for sure. It maybe my favorite.

    I don't think I could come up with 10, as I'm not a big movie guy, but "Slap Shot" is not only my favorite sports movie, it's one of my favorite movies.

    "Hoosiers" and "The Natural" are probably my other two favorite sports movies.
