Who gives a dam about ATL?

You see, welcher, I root for my hometown team, unlike you.

Since all you can comprehend is Rome-Talk, let me put it to you this way, chump:

You can talk smack about winning a ring if it takes the Texans longer than 24 years to win a championship.

There are only two things the Sucks will ever be known for: An NFL record 14 consecutive losing seasons and the only winless season in NFL history.

After 3 more weeks, they may have company for the winless season. But I doubt even the current Dolphins will end up losing 26 in a row -- the Sucs will own that one for eternity.

Actually in 1980 the bucs got to the championship game...that is one game from the super bowl. that was in their 5th year....did the
Texans do that? Actually have you pansies ever won a divison title? How about a winning season????

    LMK
    Thanks

  • Actually comparing the Bucs to the Texans is a bad comparison. A more accurate one would be the Bucs and Seahawks, as they came into the league at the same time, you know, before they had expansion drafts and ways to make new teams competitive (look at what the Jaguars were able to do, for example).

While no one is refuting the Bucs were terrible in their first couple years, it takes more than just looking at their record to see what was going on. Castoffs, no-names were all that were available for teams like the Bucs and Seahawks had no shot at being competitive (Seattle only won 2 games their first year, one of which was against the hapless Bucs).

A more accurate comparison would be, say, Carolina or Jacksonville against the Texans. All came into the league when other teams were forced to give up some players to the new kids on the block, and both Jax and Carolina were competitive nearly immediately.

What I do find curious, however, is the poor taste of using an obvious tragedy to illustrate your disdain for a fellow board member. Making light of an impoverished child is in very poor taste in my opinion.

Not even a close comparision. JAX and CAR didn't have to worry about poision pill contracts nor teams pulling back players. Also, you neglect to mention how terrible TB's upper management was. Remember the Bo Jackson draft?

And where in the heck are you talking about an "impoverished child"? It's a kid, hiding under his bed. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Spin away.

no stown, that picture came from a website...the caption was Afghan boy hides under his bed. The child is obviously scared that

So now I'm making fun of the kid? Sweet spin job.

I can see why you would say that, especially after the Texans blew out the over-rated Sucks. Were you throwing things at your TV, having a temper tantrum, by yourself, all while I was having a great time cheering on my home town team?

Well Ax, it's nice to see that you didn't leave your economy sized bag of douche behind.

That is one of Letterman's lines from years ago. He used it quite often at one point.

I didn't get that idiotic comment either.

I mean, I've called you out several times, welcher.

In case your selective short term memory forgot, let me give you the cliff notes version (comparable to Tinkerbell's)

    1) Where did you go to college?
    2) Where do you live?
    3) How many games have you attended of "your" team?
    4) Why are you a fan of said team?

    Very simple, basic questions, right?

    Last, but not least:

    5) Why did you welch on a wager that you lost?

Oh and if you want to continue to take this picture out of context:

ie I'm saying Joey was like a little kid, hiding under his bed after being taken to the woodshed

The boy pictured "was reunited quickly with his father" by "the U.S. Army 82 Airborn Division".

Also, please further note what happened after that picture was taken.

"the search of the village turned up several small weapons caches, including over a hundred 107mm rockets, more than a dozen land mines and rocket propelled grenades, and several thousands rounds of ammunition."

I'm not surprised that people like you, someone who idolizes a communist dictator who was responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths, would portray it in a negative light.

Call me crazy but Stown clearly displayed the article that goes with this picture and as far as Im concerned the boy was quickly reunited with his father and no harm was done to the child, why must you steer away from that point and spin it like it was done in bad taste?

  • Last time I checked, the Bucs were 8-5 and cruising to a division win and a playoff spot, despite playing with a backup QB and third string RB....meanwhile, the hapless and helpless Texans were struggling to get to .500 for the season for the first time in their history and won't be sniffing the playoffs yet again.

I guess when your team is miserable you look for the little things to cheer for, and then, when that fails, you bring into play a picture of a frightened Afghani child.

    Nice play.
