Congrats, Frank. #1 Jeffs.

Congrats, Frank. #1 in the pre-65 Jeffs is one tremendous acheivement. It's a (small) pleasure to be permantly knocked down a notch. image
Keep up the very good work.

MS Jefferson Nickels Series: Current #1 and #2 sets now gone "in a flash". Now, a new #1. But, a challenge to stay there, as the nickels from #1 and #2 went somewhere obviously. image

Less than a year ago, former #1 and #2 at that time sold out. That's (4) top sets which have vanished in the past 12 months. I handled the sale of (3) of these sets, including both former #1 sets. Obviously, prices rose, which may have had something to do with the decision by some to sell their sets. The "internet" bubble (analogy) didn't burst for these (4) sellers now did it? The "tulips" appear to have grown tall and pretty for these (4) gentleman. Since all of these sellers have no intention of disclosing terms of their sales, there is no information on how the Jeffersons performed. One day, someone will lose money in Jeffersons and report it on these boards. Forum members will swarm in and say: "I told you so". "I warned you guys". "Jeffersons are nothing more than the tulip frenzy". What will be will be, but as of TODAY, there is a very healthy, robust market for top end Jefferson nickels and I'm very glad to see it!! image Wondercoin.

  • I backed into the #1 current finest set. Personally I really don't focus on the current finest. I look at the all time finest category to determine my actual position. Mr Mint and Bob Stockford clearly have had the best sets. Perhaps I might get there one day.

I do however appreciate the feedback.

    Thanks
