1873 Seated Liberty Dime please help

I'm trying to figure out if my 1873 Seated Liberty Dime is an open or closed 3

If you have a picture please share it so we can all learn the difference.


1873 Open or Closed 3 ???

I believe it's an Open 3, but that bottom curl inwards looks closed and the top curl looks open. Dark coins are tough to distinguish.

I'm trying to decipher based on my knowledge of 1873 Indians.

Some light coming up:
Look at the balls of the 3.
See how far they are from each other on the open 3, and how close they are on the closed 3 in the above pictures?

I always remember this by thinking that the closed 3's almost look like 8's. While one variety is probably scarcer than the other, I've never considered either one to be much better than the other.
Either is fairly available on the market, and still underrated imo.

The closed 3 is just that, the open parts of the the 3 are closer and look to be more closed
