I'm not sure how to create a link to your set , but I copied and pasted it on here for you ! I see where Griffins has the only other set ! Would love to see a scan of one of these cards ! And from looking at the pops , not to many graded yet ! Are they rare or hard to find ? I'm sure someone will create a link for you soon ! ................ Robbie

    Finally some company! Welcome Vic!

I love these 3 sets- the Cards, Browns and Reds team issues of '40-'41. The Reds seem a lot more common (anyone want to buy a set or 3?) but the whiter paper stock on the Cards and Browns make them a lot nicer looking. The Cards have a better player selection, with the first cards of Slaughter and Mize, along with the only card of Branch Rickey while he was an executive (although I believe the '60 Fleer should count, as he was starting up the Continental League). I just realized it has a card of the newest HOFer, Billy Southworth, as well.
They aren't super hard to find, but not easy either. Basically you must have to be patient.
Not to steal Vic's thunder, but here's a few.

For comparison, a Browns card on the left, Reds on the right

    Griffins

Thanks for taking the time to post scans ! Really nice looking crisp cards ! Were these Team Issues released at there respective ballparks as a give away , or a mail - in offer ? Also wondering if these cards are in a supersized holder or something smaller then a regular baseball card ?
Again , congrats to you Vic !!!!!! And Great Set Griffs !!!!! ......

they are in a regular holder, they are smaller than a '57 Topps, but bigger than '48 Bowman.

They were available for .25 in a box, that could then be addressed and sent thru the mail. I've got boxes for all 3 team sets, will try and post them up this week.
There are a bunch of singles in ebay stores right now (I think I have a few in mine) but sets only come up about once a year. The Cards one is in the highest demand, since it has Branch Rickey. The Reds set (aka the Harry Hartman set, for the journalist that helped produce the set) comes up very often, raw it's about $200 but once you get into 6's and higher it's a whole lot tougher and more expensive. Centering is an issue with this set, and there are some variations that can be tricky. One card that is listed on the registry ("Debt of Gratitude to the Wm. Koehl Co") has never had an example graded, and I really doubt it even exists. Here's an uncut sheet I picked up about a month ago:

The Browns and Cards team sets I picked up together about a year or two ago- I think I upgraded 3-4 commons, but it's basically what I got for $2500. for the pair.

edited to say- the scans of the cards in my previous post all had the same color balance, so the McKechnie really is that off white. The sheet in this post was not my scan (took it from the seller) and on my monitor is very yellow/green.
