Can someone explain this??

Im putting together a 60-61 Topps hockey set. I currently
have about 40% complete. Well I decided to change the name of my collection. Before the name change my grade point on the set was 8.00. After I changed the name of my collection it went to 7.85????? I did not add any cards nor did I delete any. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance image

  • Did you go through each card and it's grade after you changed the name to see if every card crossed over at the same grade? If you didn't, you may want to go back and check each card.

PSA frowns on name changes that do not meet their standards. Sets are rewarded or penalized for excellent or poor names of collections, accordingly.

Actually, the programmers are still having Oracle database issues. e-mail BJ at BJ@Collectors.com and she will take care of it for you.
  • They changed around the formula used a while ago. Maybe your set was sitting there, calculated with the old formula. The activity in Hockey is a bit lighter, and perhaps the new formula wasn't applied to all the sets listed. Since you made a change to the name, the set had to be reviewed, and then had the new formula applied to it. It would have then changed the rating.

I did go back and check the grades listed versus what I have and they all match up. Im guessing it is a reformula change. Although PSA frowning on the name change was quite funny. I did e-mail BJ and i'll let you know what she says.
    Thanks for replying!!!
