Uni-Safe Albums

I purchased a Uni-safe album to put some of my Candian Large cents into, seeing as how it's the only Canadian Large Cent Album I could find. I got the album in the mail and opened it to find plastic pages for the coins to fit in.... I'm not real into putting the coins into these plastic sleeves. Now with that being said, has anyone had experience with the Uni-safe albums and if so how did it go. Does anyone know a company that produces world coin albums? If so direct me to them cause I sure can't find them!!! Thanks
Todd

    Todd,

Do not put any UNC coins in that album. They don't fit and if you do manage to get them in they will be most difficult to remove.

UNI_SAFE messed up on the design. The Canadian large cent is 1" in diameter the pockets are 25mm BUUUUT 1" = 25.4mm. They should have gone to a 5 pocket row and a 3 page album.

If you check eBay, eventually, one will probably be listed. Don't be surprised if you have to pay $25 or $30 (or more) to get it, though.

    Gardmaster albums at Brent Krueger

Mind you, I have no firsthand experience with these, but they look kinda nice. I have seen some at the supply tables at shows.

I use the Dansco coin stock albums (album #7000 as I recall). There are 12 pockets to the page and about 10 pages to the album. The pages are mylar (I think) but I put the coin in a 2x2 Saf-T-Flip (which I know is mylar) and then into the pocket. These albums give you flexibility to arrange the coins as you like them. I have all of my world coins sets in these, except for those in TPG holders.

This is another album that is difficult for Canadian large cents. Same issues as the Uni-Safe.

I would like to see the Dansco album.

For those who prefer to keep their coins "raw" the Eagle album is very nice.
