Fees for varieties in the Registry

Are varieties that are listed in the Registry exempt from the $15 verification fee? Example would be the 1960-D Large/Small date Lincoln cent. Also, what about the varieties included in the complete variety sets that don't have PCGS coin numbers? I assume these are not exempt although now included in the registry. Anyone know?
Thanks.

Some basic redbook varieties have been part of the grading and authentication prior to the commencement of the wider variety service. They got tagged without the $15 variety service fee. I am not certain how many of them are still discriminated under basic grading services, but probaby a number are.
