what people will keep under the bed

tonight, I looked over a cache of coins and currency that a friend's sister had... it was inherited.
it was in a shoebox... 66 gold coins ranging from $1 to $20 pieces. I was very interested in the six $3 gold pieces.
a pack of 100 $2 star notes with low serial numbers, in sequence
about a dozen pieces of fractional currency
about four full rolls of circulated 1943 steelies
a roll of 1879S Morgans with nice mirrors, all grading about ms63-64
some foreign gold
some national currency
but what was most amazing is that this collection was kept in the shoebox, under the bed, for about 10 years.
I estimated the US gold to be worth at least $26,000
under the bed?? LOL
