4- huh? You mean dust on it from the cardboard? Sure, as long as you don't use a wire brush. Do what the EAC'ers do- use a camel hair brush.

I'm not familiar with that kind of hair - does it come from the toe region?

Umm, no. The hair your're no doubt thinking of is short n' curly.

You want straight camel hair.

1. agree business strike-1854 half cents usually are well struck at least in my observations of them.
2. ? dunno
3. rim bumps are small and fairly common on half cents IMO. should grade
4. left for the experts to answer
