Greatest thing ever for working with small coins

If you like small coins like half dimes, 3 cent pieces, dimes etc, and you're turning into an old fart (like me) get a set of 1.75 or 2.0 diopter reading glasses.

Dagnabbit, half dimes look like half dollars (of course my thumb looked like the south end of a north bound rhino )

Those things were made for examining coins. I wish I'd discovered those about 5 or 10 years ago.

This is nothing new to me, welcome to spectacle club lanlord!
(the $10 specs from Walgreens are my choice, I can have 10 pair around the house and not worry about losing any)

Been there, done that. It makes a difference. And reading glasses are cheap. Got mine at the Dollar General for smoething like four or five bucks.

cant see a date on any coin at all now without glasses
and sometimes not even then.

thats why i got some...smoe cheapo magnifing glass at the dollar store to keep in the car
and home.
