They are all going to have an Olive Oil bath before they go out for the sample slabs.

Those are trippy, and cool looking, once they are rid of the verdigris or whatever you slimed them with, O Mad One.

I had not heard of Dassier Death Medallions.

Do enlighten us. (Or me, anyway).

They can from the UK and shipping was more than the medals! But I think they are cool, there will be lightside medals also. Now all I have to do is think up a catchy something to go on the slab!

    Cool medals.

I was just wondering if anyone knows the best way to remove verdigris? I heard ammonia is supposed to be quite good but I have never tried removing verdigris from coins.

I'm sure some of the Gurus here can answer that question!

  • Curious, what does an Olive oil bath do?

Incidentally, you can use fingernail polis with a cotton swab and clean. The main ingredient in finger nail polish dries up fast, does not leave a residue nor does it eat coins. I hate to say this...I have done this in the past and the coins have been slabbed. So I know it works. Less for olive oil, that baffles me, what does it do?
