Die-struck counterfeit 1889-CC dollar

Just had somebody come in with a die-struck counterfeit 1889-CC that he bought on eBay. A dealer in the burbs had thought it was bad, and sent him down for a second opinion.
Unc-ish, right hub combination (not typical 1921 hub ctft.) though the obverse was copied from a Philadelphia strike, kinda grainy with weak reeding. Some shiny low spots in hair on the obverse from die polishing. I would say latest generation Chinese fake.

Did you snap a couple of pics of it while the guy ran off to cry in the restroom?
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
Where's the pics!
Useless thread without the knowledge and pics.

That one really looks like a legit VAM-3. I wouldn't say it was a counterfeit based on the images. I also wouldn't bid on a raw 89-CC on eBay unless I really knew the seller well and had a return policy to work with.

take a look at the 85Cc tell me smoething is not wrong with that coin- and surely the edge would never should offset like it does in the pic- and it is not a shadow either.
