Submission Questions about FS varieties in slabs, please help

I have PCGS slabs with no variety designation. I understand that I should submit those under "Veriety Review" for $15.
I have PCGS slabs from the "Mint Error" service that have the FS numbers listed on the slab. Do I have to submit under the "Variety Review" for $15, or can I just submit them under "reholder" and they will change the label now that they recognize those varieties?
Advice would be appreciated

What really gets me, is that on crossovers with the variety designations already on the label, both PCGS and NGC require to be paid the extra variety designation fee. I guess neither company trusts the previous grading service variety designations. Makes me think there must be lots of mislabeled varieties out there.

It makes sense to me! If you want the variety marked on a PCGS label, you should pay for it. Once it crosses over to PCGS, PCGS is the one on the hook if the variety is labeled wrong.

Call Customer Service, I would ask if it could be done under the "Designation Review" for $10. The variety is already on the label, you just want the coin number changed.

I used to think the same way until I ended up with several NGC varieties that are not designated correctly. So I feel that PCGS is justified in asking for the designation fee since they are putting their name behind it.
One of these days I will be sending those NGC mis-attributions back to them for review. It will be interesting to see if they back their coins the same way that PCGS does.
