The Michigan Collection of Clad Roosies drops from the Registry.

A very sad day indeed as the Michigan Collection drops from the Registry. It was a serious collection of some very high grade Roosies, including tons of MS68's and an un-interrupted run of 8's from 1994-Date.

I looked up to this set in awe when I first started collecting Roosies and it was the first and only set complete at 100% when I started 5 some odd years ago.

At 1 point his set started with the 1965, 66, & 67 MS68's all pop (1/0)

I will miss it! image

Later, Paul.

Later, Paul.

I am always disappointed to see high level sets go even if they are in my series. I guess some turnover is good for the hobby.

I helped Zerbini build that set and let me tell you he has one of the best eyes around. My guess is he lost interest when the full bands thing came around as he was number 1 before that.

There have been some great sets passing through the clad registry over the years.
I wonder, how many of those coins would go FB today?
Some great coins came by to visit us, FB and non FB.
Some are in our sets today, and some just seem to get tucked away.
    We miss you guys..........

The great sets are not gone, they live in new great sets, with a great group of guys. Dan, Paul, and Larry are carrying the TORCH for the next generation of Roosey collectors. I am still a Roosey fan at heart.
