Speaking of announcers...is Joe Buck the worst, or what?

I really can't stand him, he knows little about sports, especially baseball. I watched most of the 2004 ALCS with
the sound off.

    I muted some of it, too, but more because of McCarver.

    they both really suck, talk too much, and often have no clue about what they are saying (baseball games) about the teams and players.

    I agree. Joe Buck is absolutely horrible.

    at least Vitale has a clue about players, performance, and potential. The other two are pure knuckleheads.

    He does indeed suck. His old man should've encouraged him to enter a different field.

    Joe Buck should have been shot into a Kleenex. My favorite Buck comment was during a playoff game last year when he and Troy Aikman were talking about cleats. Troy mentioned Shaun Alexander's cleat length, and Buck was perplexed about the fractions used to measure cleat length, he asked, "Troy, you played football, which is longer 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch?"

    I cant stand Buck, remember when he layed into Moss for doing the fake Mooning to GB fan? That was pure comedy.

    On the way home tonight I listened to the Giants game on the radio and Dan Reeves sounds just like Hank Hill. I couldn't stop giggling everytime he spoke.

    I think you are being to nice..... I think He is the worst I have ever heard....... It makes the NFL network almost unwatchable!!!!!!!!

    Joe Morgan, aka Dr. Obvious, is the clear cut worst.

    I couldn't agree more, i think he might be the worst announcer working in any sport at the moment. In the Packers-Cowboys game he made a number of moronic gaffes- including saying that "Packers coach Mike McCarthy called Marion Barber the heart of Green Bay's offense." WHAT!!?? Three errors in one sentence has to be some sort of TV record

    How about Bryant Gumble on the NFL Network!! His performances are even suitable for QVC!!

    It drives me freakin nuts when the game is in the 7th inning and mccarver is STILL talking about something that happened in the top of the 3rd. If berman is announcing a game, I will have it on XM - even with the 5-8 second delay. As Oberman would say, berman is the worst person in the world.

    I agree on Buck, I like Joe Buck from Midnight Cowboy the movie better than the real one. On the subject of horrible announcers, Rick Sutcliffe is the bottom of the barrel. His slow, ponderous style sounds like it's coming from a guy who hasn't moved his bowels in weeks!

    Dan Reeves sounds just like Hank Hill. I couldn't stop giggling everytime he spoke.

    I drive about 3 hours every other Sunday to drop my daughter off to her mother and always get a chuckle out of Reeves. Sounds like a straight-up hillbilly and I can't even understand 1/2 of what he is saying Fortunately between the twang and the endless football terminology that he spews, the other announcer gets the occasional word in and I actually find out what is going on in the game! I LOVE DAN REEVES!

    The only reason I force myself to stand Joe Morgan is because of John Miller. He's definitely one of the best.

    Actually that broad that is sterlings partner is absolutely the worst.
