Pix are sufficient, but lack definition around the edge of the coins, which is sort of a strange look. However, they are perfectly decent otherwise, and certainly a set with pictures is better to look at than one without.

Now, enough about the pictures- the set is fantastic! image

  • Great set, and I saw that you have the extremely rare 1914-S, large S. Congratulations. That's only the second one that I know about.

I had a great experience recently. I've been buying some upgrades on eBay and one of them was a 1908-S centavo in MS 66 red. I bought with my fingers crossed because the scan looked dark. It arrived and it was brilliant, beautiful red, and a perfect coin.

And then, to top off my day, I pulled out my loupe and examined it more carefully. Holy-moly it was a horned S! From the scans on eBay I had absolutely no idea that was going to be the case.

Yes, this was a surprised for me as well, I wasn't expecting this to be back as Large S when I submitted it, as I don't know exactly what a Large S looks like. What is the range price for this piece in AU58BN?

I have been buying also the 1908-S centavo as most of the collectors are not aware of this variety.

I did this on purpose, and thought it will look good but I guess I was wrong.

Not necessarily. They look good. The unfocused edges just take some getting used to, that's all. Strange... not necessarily bad.

    The coins are very nice.

  • Hi Jetblack 74 oil:

My present scanner here is low quality. My secretary is going to buy a good one.

I've never been able to figure out how to post pictures up here. But she's young and more computer savvy than me and if she can figure it out, she'll post the pic of the horned S. If she can't, I'll send you the file and let you post it.

    Best wishes,
