If Hawaii can hold off Wash, they have to be in the big dance. All the other teams I have seen suck big time. LSU plays in the hardest
conf and had to play an extra game. Lets see them versus the only perfect team.

Unless they score 42 unanswered points in the next 3 quarters, they will not even get a whiff of a BCS bowl bid.
Get your popcorn ready, it's gonna be a show!

OSU deserves to be in the title game... the bigger problem is figuring out who they are going to play

For sure, by virtue of going undefeated, I think they deserve to be in the BCS. (Not the championship game, but some BCS bowl.) I think it would be a shame if they won that game that they'd be done playing without a chance to prove anything. The same was true for Boise last year. They finish the season 13-0 and beat a very good Oklahoma team in their BCS bowl game, which at least proved they belonged in the discussion. One game's not enough to anoint them champs, IMO, but it should be good enough to give them a shot at beating the tentative "champion" (Florida last year).
If a weak-scheduled, undefeated team won a BCS bowl game AND a +1 game against the winner of the "1 vs. 2" game, IMO that would remove any question about their legitimacy as the champions. But without that, we are left with very real questions. Is Hawaii #1? Probably not, but not many thought Boise would beat OU last year, either.
I don't know if we'll ever see a full blown playoff. But absent that, I still think it's a shame that a team can go undefeated, win a BCS bowl game and still NOT have a crack against #1 to see whether they are truly legitimate championship material or merely a very good team that isn't quite at the top.
<< <i>Hawaii played cupcakes and so did OSU >>
OSUs non-conference schedule was weak, but playing Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan in a row cannot be described as playing "cupcakes".

Teams refused to play Hawaii. In fact, MSU paid $250,000 to cancel their scheduled meeting this year.
And I don't think ANYONE can talk smack about schedules when their bandwagon team plays Duke and UAB in the same seaon.
