Whadda ya want?

It's been a while since we had a "looking for" thread. If there's something darkside that you just can seem to find...whether rare or common, coin or token (or anything else in world coin collecting), post for it here. Maybe someone's got just what you need sitting on their desk collecting dust.

I've got a full want list in my sigline. Always updated image

Edit, in case no one actually clicks over to my wantlist: one coin I need to round out a very short type set is a Spanish 1 centavo, 1912 in RB UNC or better. Also, since I can't seem to find any, if you know of any reddish copper from Isabel's reign I'm interested!

(Much more than this in my wantlist though!)

Following spoon's example, I decided to link up my collection & wantlist in my sigline, too.

This is fun..a few odds-n-ends I want for no particular reason...I'm generally after upgrades for my Japanese coins but the following things have struck my fancy of late. I don't really intend to collect some of these areas seriously, but..for fun:

    1. A really cool Swiss Shooting Taler (which one is up in the air...)
    2. A really cool Baden Taler (one with gryphons on it)
    3. A near gem Caballito
    4. A matte proof 1902 Eddie 2 pounder and/or crown
    5. An Italian Subalpine 5 Francs (I swear one of the ladies looks preggers)
    6. A decent Japanese trade dollar (this one makes sense..for my Japanese type set)
    7. A gem 1930 Uruguay 5 peso
    8. Mommy/baby themed medals, especially Art Deco/Art Nouveau styles (there's a Roty one I REALLY want...)
    9. Some of the earlier 20th century Italian and Albanian coins (generally before WW2) in higher grades
    10. Gem or near gem French territory coins from this century (like Reunion, French Africas, Madagascar, Togo etc)

I'd like some British and/or Australian pennies and 1/2 pennies for a secret Santa kind of thing. There's a kid (22ish) who is mentally about 10, who loves these. He hangs out at my dealers shop looking through the foreign coin bucket for hours. I already gave up my 4 for her to give to him a month ago, but I would love to give him some more for Christmas. Low grade is OK, I want to give him as many as I can. He's a really cool kid. image

    << <i>Please check your drawers >>

Down here in the Deep South, "check your drawers" means, "examine your britches". image

I would check my drawers for that stuff, but I assure you, if I had anything metallic in them, it would be rather uncomfortable... and you wouldn't want it after it had been there. image

  • Someone in this forum was looking for a Lundy set a while back.
I've got 'em, so please PM me if you're still interested.
    Thanks ~

I never pay too much for my tokens...but every now and then I may buy them too soon.

  • Forgot to mention what I'm looking for...Dalton silver tokens.
If you've got 'em, you know what they are.
    Thanks in advance for checking!

I could get you a dozen or so of each (Australian pennies and halfpennies). Send me a PM with your mailing address, or check any of my eBay listings (I'm mrpotatoheadd there, too) for an email link- I don't log in here every day, and email is probably quicker.
