Supposed to get off early today, didn't happen.

Apropos of the coin posse/aka caca: "The longer he spoke of his honor, the tighter I held to my purse."
For some reason I don't have the "add Image" icon to load pictures. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Both of these have been posted here in the past, but not in a side by side (or top to bottom) comparison.

BUT, there is copper to cheer us all up
but I went through some 05 mint sets, and plucked out his gem.
$346.00.
Lots of detail for a coin that is 338 years old.
As far as the bidding goes, all the action is in the last 5 minutes.
That kind of profit, deserves a "YOU SUCK"
NGC AU58...The coin actually has an ample amount of mint luster remaining that my image does not capture. Need to reimage this one:

<< <i>Robkool, what's going on with that 9 in your '55-S??
It's a die chip inside the "9"...
I bought that at this little jewelry/coin shop in 2005, about two years after I got back into coins. I had previously been in the shop in the late 80's when I was around ten years old, and there never seemed to be anybody there each time I went. I think the inventory in the shop is super stale, as many of the flips were yellow and crumbly. I'll bet dollars to donuts that I passed on this coin as a young boy, as it was a ridiculous price for such an ugly common date, $4.50! So when I bought it two years ago, I didn't even haggle on the price
here's one I finally took a pic of, got it from Wayne Herndon when I was in Baltimore this past Spring.

Double Die I'll probably send along with it also. I got the results from the 64DDR it only went MS-64 RED
I thought it had a shot at 65. Loose some win some. I did call back and had them run a Attribution
designation on it though to fit it in the new Registry. The other five cross overs are still in the grading
process.
