International deliveries running slow?

I've had much more than my normal share of complaints due to international shipping times lately.

Has anyone else experienced this?

On the 24th of October I had a particularly large and expensive number of shipments go out to a variety of countries. One, a registered piece to Chile, has still not arrived after a month! Others have been crawling to their destinations and arriving but very late. What happened on the 24th? Most complaints about any items taking a long time with that shipment date ever!

PO says blame customs, seasonal rush, registered mail times, etc. I'm at my wits end at this point...

Has anyone raised a particularly efficient stork who would be willing to deliver coins as opposed to babies?image

Well...I have a coin coming to me.....from a forum member here.....tracking shows it was accepted at his post office on 23 October 2007. Still has not arrived to me....and am worried.

    He is in Canada.

    I am in USA.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Yeah, I've got a couple in limbo from that time frame also. Good luck to us all.

    Certain packages have a charm
    that protects them from harm,
    and these are normally inexpensive.

It's the items I pay to insure
whose delivery I wish to assure
    that leave me most apprehensive.

Only Hong Kong has been running slow for me. All else has been generally a business week or less.

Edit to clarify: That's all inbound traffic for me, though.

Got a package from Japan today. It was mailed about 250 miles from Tokyo on Tuesday.
