1977 Star Wars C3PO Error Graded

I have this nice 1977 Star Wars C3PO Variation available for sale for $80.00 delivered in the Continental US. This card is difficult to get the grading companies to grade due to the content.

This one is graded 7.5 by Beckett Grading Services.

  • Other than Beckett, do any of the other grading services graded this error card? I find it really silly that PSA doesn't.

I have two that Beckett has graded. One a 7.5 and one a 8. I don't believe they have graded any others. I have seen a couple of SGC graded ones, and I believe PSA even graded them in the early days.

  • There are 2 graded PSA cards in the POP report. A PSA-7 and a PSA-8. image

SGC does grade them. I have a couple to send in plus a couple of 1984 Nestle Mattingly's.

Its not in the current PSA-POP report.
  • SGC grades them. I just had one graded as a 96.

How about a scan of the SGC 96? What do you want for it???

  • PSA graded some that said "error" on the tag, and then a bunch that did not. I have had both, and some SGC graded.... I currently only have my PSA 8 and one that is near perfect (PSA 10?) in a heavy lucite holder.... very nice card though.

I know of several error cards in this set, anyone collecting errors? Or just this card for the obvious reasons.

    Scott,

Nice card, I can't get scans to come out clear or I'd show you my BGS 8 one. I may crack it and send to SGC and see how it would do there. If I figure out a way to get a clear scan, I'll post it and see what y'all think.

  • I highly recommend SGC. I have been sending all of my permanent collection Star Wars cards there. The black contrast of the holders really makes the cards electricifying.

They do look good in those holders with the black inserts. It really sets off the card nicely.
