Is this a 1907 H Canadian Large cent?

and of course is it worth anything?

I just opened up a whitman album full of Canadian large cents and they display some amazing toning. I sure wish they were us large cents.

image

Forgive my ignorance I know ZERO about Canadian large cents.

Opinons?

oooops did not even see it. I was just in shock about the toning.

    Is it worth much?

    Decent shape, grade opinions?

yes it is a 1907 H. I'm not sure about the color. In view of the color, it looks as if the coin was enhanced before being placed in a Whitman album.

There are about 10 coins in this whitman toned alike. No doubt natural toning in my opinion.

This was also a very quick picture taken with a flash as I just got the album home from my father's where it has sat for a very long time.

He got it from a deceased uncle who in all of the albums mostly us, his last entry about any coin was 1979.

If it's at, there are a bunch of really nice at coins in the canadian large cent album, but not one in any of the us coin albums, of indians, lincolns, standing liberty quarters, or mercury dimes.

No offense intended, but that color SCREAMS artificially enhanced... and the surfaces have that "baked" look.

It very well may be the lighting and the photography and the coin is actually legit, but it sets off warning bells.

    No offense.

I am definately no expert at us or canadian coins, but I would wager quite a bit that all of these coins are NT all the way.

The image is definately bad, as far as bad lighting and I used a flash, but believe me the coin is colorful. It is the most colorful out of any of the coins in the album, but is almost the coin in the best condition also.

Most show a ton of wear, and this coin shows very little.

If it was a us coin, I would give it au to au 58.

Color AT or NT, I don't know.

Grade, I would say is au50. This trends at $120.00. Sells for around $80.00 at coin shows.

NT, nice coin. Personally, I don't particularly care for the maroon coloration on a cent. It can lead to the conclusion that the color is AT. The reason for my "NT vote" is simply the concentric rainbow on the reverse. AT'ing might give you a monotone concentric but I think it takes time in an album to come up with a true rainbow of colors. If and when you have the time I would LOVE to see the others! This one must be an in-hand stunner - a real photogenic coin.

Sorry to be the first to say this, but these were enhanced years ago. While the tonong around the leaves look to be the result of natural toning being in a Whitman album, the centers clearly refect enhancement. Copper does not look like that naturally.
