Edward VIII Abdication medal

I picked up an Edward VIII abdication medal which is a mule of BHM-4277 AND 4278. It is silvered bronze, 35MM.

Has anyone heard of this before? How rare is the mule?

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

There is no mention of it in BHM, I don't have an Eimers.
