You forgot that Telsa invented the method that is still used today to transmit AC electricity over long distances. If that toolbag Edison had his way, we would be using DC current . We would all need power plants at our homes. If Tesla would have held Westinghouse to their original contract, Telsa would have been a billionaire before he died. That is why that punk Edison had it out for Telsa. They had a HUGE battle in NYC over DC vs AC current. Edison was constantly setting up phony accidents involving AC power. That is why Edison invented the electric chair - to show how dangerous AC was. Of course like most of Edison's crap, it didn't work like he said it would. It took someone else to make it work right, just like the phonograph and the pictograph and all of his other half-rumped rubbish. I would like to punch Edison in the mouth.
Tesla spent the last of his $ on a power generator on the Jersey shore that would send electricity wirelessly across the US and Europe. Westinghouse hosed him on his financing, though. MIT just replicated some of his wireless eclectricity transmission this year. Telsa had his faults, but he was far more of a genius than Edison could ever hope to be - except in the field of self-promotion.
Mike, you really have consider what you are saying when you bash underrated turn-of-the-century inventors. You should consider other people's feelings.
