#1- I saw this one while surfing the other day...I actually think it may be real (the 4 is doubled in the right direction), but that gouge is a big problem and makes me wonder...If I owned that coin, I would spend the $50 to get it certified before I even considered selling it.
#2- The 4 should be doubled on a genuine '42-D 2/1...I just don't see it on this coin- the die lines give it the appearence of a 2/1 (I guess).

I agree. The P-mint is a genuine overdate, horribly damaged. The D-mint isn't altered, just struck from a badly worn die, but not the overdate die. TD

#2....kinda hard to tell since it isn't as prominent on the Denver overdate. But I don't see it from that pic.

The die was so badly worn that it gives the appearance that there is a "1" peeking out from
under the "2" but that is not the case.
