I am excited because the French Naval Medical Medal arrived yesterday which was also my birthday - it is a beauty !! Large and heavy and with great relief - my pictures don't do it justice:

    I see lions, dragons, curling serpents, sunbursts, anchors, ships of the line, lighthouses, flags flying in the breeze, what's missing? Nothing that a ship collector like oldshep wouldn't desire.
