I wonder sometimes how sellers come up with their prices.

BIN Auctions
I know this seller has BIN/Best Offer auctions but seeing his prices scares me to death. What is his motive? Is he trying to catch a newbie off guard or does he truly think his stuff (talking about his coins) are worth that much?
Looking back through his completed auctions he has only sold 4 or 5 things. He is a power seller and has been at it since 2003 but I don't know how.
