An honest seller in China.......?

I just stumbled unpon this auction on Ebay and although the coin seems totally worthless to me........the seller is from China and seems to be very honest with his listing image

Replica 1888-O Morgan dollar

Heck even the shipping is reasonable......but probaby costs you more than the coin is worth...........still refreshing to see an auction like this after the thousands of Fake Trade Dollars and $20 shipping rates image

There are a couple of sellers in China that have pretty decent feedback. Its the ones that have 1 or 2 some times even 100 or less you really have to watch out for.

there are a ton of honest buyers too. I know of some higher end stuff that has gone over there recently, both US and rare world coins. China also has an aggressive collecting base too, some of their coin shows draw more people in one day, than our large shows draw in a several day run.

We all know there are a ton of counterfeits and scam artists coming from China, but their newfound prosperity has also created a ton of new collectors with money to spend.

The best deal on a Polish coin that I collect came from of all places Shanghai. It now resides in an MS-67 holder. image

My fear is that these honest buyers won't be honest sellers. Many of those coins pictured have "replica" added to the photo and not actually on the coin leaving the new owner to do with as they wish.

Maybe he's an American living in China? Maybe not..... with that seller ID and all?

We assume that the crooked Chinese eBayers only sell counterfeit coins. Perhaps they also buy genuine coins that they do not pay for, and then resell.

Anyone wringing hands over crooked Chinese dealers and their counterfeits
is missing the point. The real issue is how many of these fakes are auctioned
off on eBay as genuine. Members of this Forum are uncovering fakes regularly
    being foistered by US dealers.
