1963 Fleer Question about Centering

Does PSA require there to be any white between the bottom tip of the yellow diamond and the edge of the card to not be considered OC? This card appears to have the yellow run off the edge with no qualifier. Just wondering as I don't know alot about this issue.

I'd guess that slipped through the cracks...either way it's teetering. I wouldn't buy that 8.

  • that card should be 8 OC,or a PSA 8 MC there should be white between the bottom and the yellow diamond, guess it is time to break out my psa 6's and resub. that is a terrible 8 in my opinion.

I am working on the set and I try to get a little space of white below the yellow diamond- I would think that should have been considered off center T/B if the diamond is missing the tip of the corner. These cards are extremely hard to find on center. Scott

I was thinking it needed the white below the tip to be considered not OC. It reminds me of the Clemente RC and the Pirate Logo, you can find some nice cards that don't have any border left between the logo and the edge and they still hammer them even though they look OK to the naked eye.

BTW 1000th post. Only took me about 7 years.

If that's not your card, I would think you should look for a nicer one. That one slid thru and like everybody else has said it should be o/c.

There's 200 8s and 24 better, so you should be able to get a better looking one without breaking the bank.

If it's yours, list it on ebay and use the $ to get a better looking one.

I was looking to buy it but once I saw the scan I decided no way. I was just curious if this was common in 63 Fleers to allow for the yellow to extend off the card.
