Quick question about the cost of getting a Cheerios Coin Graded.

Okay I have been a lurker on these boards visiting off and on for a few years.
I am thinking about getting my cheerios dollar coin graded.
First question. How much should a authorized dealer charge?

Second question. I was thinking about joining as a silver club member.
But I looked at the fee chart and I am unsure what service my coin
would fall under(Express Special?). If I did join what service would I use?
Also how would I determine the value of the raw coin for postal insurance?

Thanks for you time and have a nice day.

$15 for moderns or whatever the price is for moderns. Some dealers make you pay for the shipping and insurance costs, some don't. It depends.
  • $300 max. value to submit moderns.

Best bet go to the source.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

Yes, Express Special is the only way for you to go. I don't know if Customer Service even knows what a Cheerios Dollar is so when you call be certain to state its value.

BTW, Registered Insured when you send it in.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Does PCGS put the Cheerios designation on the slab?
I thought ANACS was the only service that does this.

Submit through a local dealer or submit in person at a major coin show!

I believe that PCGS attributes these but I can;t prove it with a picture.

You can try PM, or email "ecoinquest". He seems to know about SAC $ coins, particulary those cheerios $ coins...
  • Thanks for the info got busy and was not able to visit earlier. I emailed a dealer in town an was told
about $50. But depends on how much insuranceI want on the package. If I had to make a guess at
least $3,000. I picked this number because it is five hundred below the pcgs price guide, and I
remember a coin on eBay selling around this price. Should I go higher or is this about right? I will
be able to met with the dealer in a week or two. I hope to get a picture of the back of the coin
and post it here. Again thanks for your answers.
