Am I asking too much

I want to sell my 1932 NY Yankees team signed baseball
All of the signatures besides the Ben Chapman are very dark and bold , especially the Ruth and the Gehrig , the baseball has 16 signatures and 6 hall of famers ,

Ruth ,Gehrig , Sewell , Ruffing , Combs and Dickey .

I want to get 50 K for it , exactly what I will need to expand my business.

Am I asking way too much ?

Now I have seen a 27 , go for over 60 K in 06 , but that is a 27, mine is a 32, but my 32 is in way better condition as far as the signatures go .

Your opinions are extrememly valued .

What avenue are you taking to sell it? If you are just asking around on these boards, you are not tapping into the entire high end vintage market. Have you contacted one of the major auction houses?

Don't sell it. If you expand your buisness you will have to do more work. Keep the ball.

I have contacted Heritage and still waiting to hear back from them , that is all so far , but I know a 19% premium is going to be a nice chunk poofed .

I am asking here to see what the experts think , there are a lot of guys here that have been around the world and around the block that could let me know , because I have never sold any of my memorabilia .

Naturally I want the most I could possible get , maybe even more image

LOL Allen and Randy . . .I hear yaz.

The amount of money that I could make in one season is really what has me all amped up to sell it , it is a huge opportunity , pretty much a once in a lifetime contract .

If I don't get what I want for it though, I will not sell it , I will keep it .

Yes sir Randy , the one they fell over backward when Tom catal seen it .

I felt famous for a little while , he was calling everyone over to come look at it .

Really made me feel good that day .

I would keep the ball personally. We know how passionate you are towards the ball. Who knows if you could ever have the chance to own one again. Business loan baby!

Yea man , you're right , The chances of me ever finding one , especially in this condition , being offered are not too good, that is for sure .

Someone here on the boards a few months ago said , if they had it they would put it on E-Bay for 10 Million B.I.N.

I know they were joking of course , but imagine someone actually friggin bit on that . . . Like someone with 10 more dollars than God .

I have seen some things go on E-Bay for some abolutley ridiculous prices .

    Really sometimes I think it's a joke .

Weren't you considering selling this ball a while back?

It's a great ball and scarce in that condition.

Unless you need the money badly - this ball will only attract more attention down the road IMO.

But, if ya decide to sell it, why not put it up on ebay with a high reserve just to test the waters?

Good luck - whatever you decide to do.

If ya put it up on ebay - please post the sale. Thanx.

Actually Mr. Stone , I was thinking about getting it graded , but decided , why bother . . .

I think I might just do that as you say, test the waters and I would definitely post it , no question .

I appreciate all the idea and the help because I am absolutley clueless when it comes to selling things , this would be the first thing I ever sold as far as my memorabila is concerned , I'm just basically going by what I have seen go on here and watching the other auction houses trying to educate myself .

One thing is , the fact that I have no score at all on E-Bay , nobody would probably want to deal with me , I have seen people talking here about stuff like that and they avoid the low score guys like the plague , and that is completely understandable .
