SSP + GIVEAWAY (done now): Binder lots including many silver and pre-1900 coins (now gone to eBay)

To be entered in my random world coin giveaway, just post ONCE, here.

Random winner will get five BU world coins. (Nothing special, but they'll date from the 1940s to the 1960s).

(Update: pendragon1998 won the giveaway.)

First, we have...

80-PIECE WORLD COIN LOT IN FOUR BINDER PAGES:

Update: now gone to eBay

I started to try to sell some of this stuff off individually and then realized it could take the rest of my life.

Here is what I had that was semi-presentable in 2x2s or flips. It is but a tiny, tiny fraction of the stuff that is lying around here, believe me.

There are 80 coins in this lot.

Prices listed are merely estimates based on Krause values (and in some cases, already below Krause). They're just there as a guide.

At least initially, this is for sale as a single lot, only. If I get no takers, I might break it up later, or stick it on eBay, but I would like to sell it as a lot, because there is much, much, much more where this came from.

By the price estimates of the individual pieces (which I think are fairly conservative), there is about $202.75 worth of coins here.

I am asking $135.00 delivered for the lot; all eighty pieces, and I'm paying the shipping, too.

Here are pictures of all four pages, with a few closeup individual coin pictures
(Link opens a Testing Forum thread that has all the pics in one long string).

If you are on a slower connection and would prefer to open them each in a different window, here they are:

  • What???? No German!!! I know nothing, nothing!!! So says Sergeant Shultz. Actually, a pretty nice group even if I did overload my dial-up connection looking at the pics! At least you have a few Austrian pieces included... A very fine German state as far as I am concerned (no flame wars here please)!!! I said that with my tongue in my cheek! Actually, going back a few hundred years, almost all were under the Roman Empire at one time so maybe not to far off... My collecting interests have changed a little bit since we last dealt. I was maybe hoping for a few things connecting to my new and "improved" interests in the darkside (The German States from unification [1873] and all coinage up until the end of WWII). With a dabbling in some states going much back (IE: Brunswick Wolfenbuttal, Prussia and Saxony).

Thanks for the chance in your give-a-way when you get around to it, and if I should win I will do a give-a-way of my own for something that is no longer in my "main" collecting interest but still has some appeal...

There is no French, no German, and no Great Britain, because those will be in fairly large lots of their own. In fact, I hope to get to the French and German pieces tonight.

Sorry about the dialup thing. I think I have that fixed, now.

Now taking entries for the giveaway. Random winner will receive five BU world coins from the 1940s to the 1960s.

    Hi LordM!

Thanks so much for the giveaway. The coins arrived today and they're all lovely. I particularly got a kick out of the French Polynesia 5 F coin. That reverse has me wishing I was in the tropics looking at the ocean from the comfort of a nice cabana swing. Hope you (and everyone else) had a great thanksgiving!

    Thanks,
    Michael
