I'm fairly sure in the late '90s there was a base card with him in mid flip, maybe Fleer Ultra? I can't remember. The image might have been on the reverse of the card though.
I think there was one in a Score set from 1989-1992.....It was a World Series card maybe??? I remember having it a looooong time ago and losing it on the school bus!
This years Upper Deck Milestones has him mid flip but it shows him waist up, upside down. Almost looks like the pic is messed up but it's not. If I can remember it when I get home from work, I'll scan it for you.
i know i have one that is a hologram that shows the entire flip. i think it's the denny's hologram card. i will look through my entire collection when i get home

Thanks again, guys. I appreciate you digging through your stuff in search of this. I'm trying to pick out ONE Ozzie Smith card from his playing days for a HOF set (of sorts) that I'm starting. I've been sorting through the stuff on eBay and on the registries, and it just struck me after looking at all of the images of him in various batting and fielding poses that I'd yet to see one of him performing his trademark flip. I figured there had to be at least one out there.
prscott933 -- I'd be interested just to know what your favorite Smith card is in terms of visual appeal, issued while he was still playing. If you can't pick just one, then give me like your top three or so. I'd really appreciate it.

this is actually tough. i like so many of them
a quick breakdown after flipping through them tonight...
i have three catagories: non-action, action, personallity
Non-Action 1. 1979 OPC, the OPC white card stock makes this classic card even more beautiful 2. 1990 Leaf and 1990 Leaf Preview, the regular is swinging the preview is fielding (but neither are "action" photos to me). crisp white cards with a nice silver/white border and great photos 3. 1982 Topps Traded, awesome beard and you can almost see he's happy to be a cardinal
Action 1. 1995 Upper Deck, sliding into home, sweet. borderless card in landscape format nice dirt and grass centered in background. beautiful 2. 1991 Ultra, well as a whole the 91 ultra cards are kinda boring but the photo is a great leaping grab and you can't see the ground in the framing! 3. 1993 and 1990 upper deck, nice action shots of the wizard turning a double play, the 1990 also looks like he's getting out a cub
Personality 1. 1991 Studio, black and white headshot photo of ozzie hiding behind his glove. the eyes of a great shortstop staring you down 2. 1991 upper deck and 1991 stadium club, both great shots laughing, UD is a headshot and SC is a dugout shot. 3. 1996 upper deck, wise old veteran leaning against the foul pole, great color in a waist up shot 4. 1994 Studio, borderless card, chestup shot of ozzie in front of his locker, nice big number 1 jersey hanging up in the background

Thanks all, but I'm particularly looking for one from his playing days and with the photo of the flip on the front.
