I paid $400 for a pop 2/0 ms67fb 05-d dime, and then the pop went to 17/1 and now is advertised at $80. I'd be careful. I'd love to own an ms68 06-d Sac myself, but I don't think I'd pay more than $500-$750 for one.
<< <i>That new price nearly doubled in a day from yesterday. I agree- and believe it has more to go.

Unless there is a larger submission that makes the pops double or triple that price could hold. That is the problem with the top pop modern game. But, IMO it is also what makes it fun.
Zach - JH at the Price Guide is very conservative about that very issue. He could have EASILY made the price on that coin 50% higher based upon todays information. Instead, the more "conservative" price was listed with a chance for "green" ups from here.

I made all three of those coins. I sold one recently for over $1K but under $2K. The other two I sold soon after I made them. On Ebay, they went for $600ish, I think. People were betting more would be made. Nope, those guys got a deal. Personally with a $2500 figure now floating around I would be cautious, I bet $10 Wondercoin is searching through some right now.
Funny you mention that - I just got back from a meeting at a local gas station where I purchased bank wrapped rolls of 2006-D Sacs from a vest pocket dealer!! If I was the paranoid type, I would be believing right now I was followed this morning.

I submitted a 2006-D Sac earlier this week that was simply incredible. One small mark away from MS69 with incredible luster. A second coin was MS68 quality but not quite as nice. We'll see if PCGS agrees and MS68's either or both of the coins. This date is very tough to locate in MS67 or higher. On top of that, the rolls are no longer $35.95 mint issue price back in the day others were searching them out. You can spend upwards of $100+/roll now just to buy them - the cost of production (or lack of production) is high now.

Now it is time to start searching for a 2007 P MS69 and a 2007 D MS68. I am surprised that no Denver 68s have shown up yet as most of the slabbed 67s I have seen are close 68s. I submitted (2) 2007 Ds last week that are in my opinion a solid 68 and maybe a 69.
I made the first 15 or 18 of the 07-P's 68's. They were selling so cheap for a long time. Then they started to sell at $450 each, of course when I only had a handfull left. The POPs went up big just recently. For the longest time it was only my coins on the market. I had found the most magic bag I had ever seen with P's this last year I thought for sure I would have popped a 69 business strike, but no luck. If that bag did not yield a 69 nothing will. I still take one out every week or so just to look at them. They are so deeply struck it is simply awesome, stunning coins. Some guy out of Wyoming was buying them like crazy.

<< <i>What is a reasonable price for one. The pop is 3 with none finer. >>
