Ok Merc collectors I'm Back from the Fun Show

Not to worry I only bought 2 PQ mercs.
A 1942P 66fb beautiful white coin.
A 1940S 66 fb another beautiful white coin.
I have a 1936S fb 66 that was in an old holder in my registry set I knew this one would upgrade. I subimitted it Saturday morning and picked it up Saturday afternoon.PCGS was good to me it came back in a new holder 67FB.I was very happy.

That is just great news about the upgrade. I guess I don't have the necessary registry "killer blood" in me because I had grin on my face as I read about your purchases and that broke into a wide smile when I read about the upgrade!

By my calculations, the two new coins and the upgrade should increase your "set rating" by 1.73 points. Pretty decent day, eh what?!! And, that's to say nothing of the fact that attending a coin show is a lot of fun all by itself!

  • wow, nice UPGRADE! I wish I would have used my head, I sent 4 old holders in about a year ago just to have them reslabbed....duh, I should have had them regraded....glad to see that PCGS is still looking at the old holders for upgrades. Congrats again!

I saw Ray's mercs up close and personal at FUN. They were pristine and glorious! He also told me that that the one he'd upgraded was the only 66 PCGS had so blessed with a 67 that day.

Ray and Linda are top notch people, BTW. We had a great time with them! image

Great job! Glad to hear about your upgrade. I hope everyone that went to the fun show came away happy. Someday I will get there. I stayed here in Pittsburgh going to a local small coin show.

Happy to see all sets getting better
