Paramount Stamp and Coin Company, anyone ever hear of their old grading

looks like circa 70's early 80's
not really slabs, but look like saflips with the grade printed with a grade for the
obverse and reverse.
anyone out there ever heard of these, roughly maybe how was the grading?

  • hmm. i had done a search and this may be a different entity. i'd post a link to the slab
but it's a current auction i'm looking at. thanks, i'll see if i can find him.

Paramount stamp and coin company = Paramount International coin company? image
  • I don't know if they are the same. I just jumped on the Paramount name and grading.

Are you referring to the photo certificates to which were stapled coins in flips packaged in Airtite holders? The grades were on the certificates and the back of the flip.

If so, you may be thinking of coins that were actually graded by U.S. Grading and Certification Service, Inc. but registered to Paramount Stamp and Coin Co, Inc.

As far as I know, the only coins "certified" by Paramount were Redfield dollars and then later they packaged their own coins using extra Redfield holders. They look like Redfield dollars but do not carry the Redfield name.
