This is just a Test ! Of the Satin Alert System

Ok,

We are off to a great start with the 2007 Satin Coins.

First off.

I own the FIRST MS69 Business Strike Jefferson Dollar P- Pos A
image

NOT!!

Just as a note to "Datentype" - Great Coins BUT, it was one of your coins that are coming up funny at PCGS.

Also, I noticed a Madison P - Coming as a lone pop 1 ms68 is out there...AGAIN NOT TRUE.

Bottomline...

Mitch is testing the Satin Alert System! image

We will see how it comes out....

Anyone have similar problems out there?
I'm sure this is not isolated to just the Pres Dollars.

Regrettfully, I have now spent a sizeable portion of my day on the phone and in person at PCGS discussing, among other things, the errors with the 07 SF coins. They have assigned a good man to the case (Jamie Hernandez - editor of the Price Guide) - he knows what has to be done. Let's see how effective the system is.

Jim - tell me if and when your Jefferson Dollar is fixed to SF from non-SF (as well as when the Madison disappears)and you should probably alert Datentpe to this thread.

I got a call from Jamie H. after hours last night. He removed the Madison and is working on the (3) Jeffersons. No question - PCGS took this very seriously and got the job done! Great job Jamie H.

Is that to say the JA-P MS68 SF Die Gouge errors are MS and not SF?

2007-P John Adams Obverse Die Gouge Pos A & B PCGS MS 68 SF?

Will these too be added as Varities?

They could but, only IF they get a PCGS coin number and not an E number.

    Unless the rules change...Who knows.

PCGS will be slabbing many Presidential coins (like the die gouge) as "E" error coins - none of which will be part of the Registry. An example of a very cool error which will also not be part of the registry is the "8th Ray" die clashed Jeff - likewise, an "E" holder with no coin number.

Jamie said he fixed the (2) Jefferson coins.

Jim - if you are still having problems with entering that coin of yours-please call Jamie Hernandez at (800) 447-8848 and ask him exactly what the problem is.

    Mitch,
I called Jaime, left a message.

He called me back in 10 minutes! WOW!

The cert# when entered now says, "Bad Cert Number"

He said he will let me know, If I need to send them the coin back in or If he can fix it.

    ...The Saga continues.....
