Could this be the infamous "savannah slammer"?

Came across a post on the ebay discussion board. Some there tend to think it may be....can't find any old picks to compare handwriting...

  • Sure looks familiar to me.

Like a bad penny, the old Savanna Scammer appears to have turned up and is back at it again.

The seller/scammers initials alone are a giveaway and the look of the pics and auction page layout is dead on.

Edit: *Yeah, I forgot that line, looks all good to me. Brings back bad memories.

  • Gotta love it. $71 for the most recently made Cal Gold souvenir tokens being sold as the real thing. Unfortunately, these were made in Japan over the last 10yrs or so, are brass, and were broken out of 10pc sets that sold for less than $10 each.
Collector of Fractional Gold; gold tokens from Canada, California, Alaska & other states; gold so-called dollars, and other oddball stuff.

Yes, it's the Savannah Scammer. All one has to do is read the retaliatory negs to confirm that it's one and the same.

That was the Savanna Scammer's MO in the past. I remember reporting them several times as it was easy to follow purchases of copies of tokens and old gold and then sticking them in 2X2s with very similar writing on them and selling them as real. They were always from an estate auction, an old safe deposit box, etc.

I suppose I should have saved a few of their old auction pages, but I'm willing to bet that it's one and the same.

It looks all familiar to me. Not a good thing. How long will it take for us to get them NARU'd this time?

Shouting, "ESTATE," bad Cal. gold in fresh 2x2s, private bidders. Sure gives me a lot of confidence.

I thought she/he was better known for selling fake/altered 1893 S Morgan Dollars. Am I thinking of the same seller?

Sure looks like the old "estatedoctor" to me. I live about 40 minutes from Savannah, I need to look him up and pay him a visit.

That was another incarnation of Pjd1966, aka Pamela Donnelly, aka Savannah Scammer.
