I am not sure if this has been discussed yet or not about GEM but please discuss...

They're still in business and still slabbing image

Back in 2004, when I first started buying on ebay, I inadvertantly bought a Gem graded Griffey card.

    I purchased it from Kane04 - I didn't pay a lot but I spent - figuratively - 800$ in pain getting the card returned.

And - this is the good part - I actually got Gem to send me a check for the card!!!!!

    Ya know Ted.

When I mentioned this debacle a few years ago - I had pretty much gone nose to nose with Kane04 over this. Someone contacted him and mentioned I was talking about the transaction. Well, he called me at my home!!!!

Well to my astonishment - he apologized for the whole thing and sticks to the business maxim that he just sells'm - not grade'm - and let the buyer decide.

He was - actually - nice to talk with and knew a lot of the same people I had experience with.

One thing fer sure - he makes more doing this than I do at my job!
