2006-W Unc. AGE's vs. 2007-W Unc. AGE's

With the huge increase in the price of gold, I decided to do the numbers on my 3 sets of 2006-W AGE's.

Back in January, I thought I was crazy to buy so much gold "bullion."

With hindsight being 20/20, we purchasers(like Coinboy, ericj96) of of these goldies are already seeing a 15½% jump in raw Mint cost in less than a year.

2006-W 4pc set...$1350 ___ 2007-W 4pc. set...$1560

As I look at the U.S. Mint current pricing on AGE's, it now shows in red, "Product is not available. "

How much higher will the prices go??? Not done yet???

I also believe the 2006-W's will be more collectible than the 2007-W's.

That's my take and opinion, what's yours????

Remember those gold Jamestown Commemoratives, well they are now priced 11½% higher than original issue. image

  • I just buy the $25 age in ms. I think the 2007-W may turn out to be better than the 2006-W because they shut off sales to raise prices. The 2007-W was $379.95 when I bought it, then they were $429.95. I've got PCGS MS70s in both that I made. The 1st 2007-W I got had a pinhole beside liberty's head so I returned it and asked for a replacement. The replacement graded MS70.
I'd rather be lucky than good.
  • I too thank ericj96. I got the 2006-W Unc Gold MS70, 2007-W Unc Gold MS70 and the 1999-W $10 MS69 Stk w/unfin prf dies.

Not to mention the 2006-W and 2007-W Plat Unc MS70.. image
