It looks like a 90% half dollar is $5.51ea, and a 40% half dollar is $2.25ea based on the price now.

Go to Kitco. At the very bottom of the homepage
you'll see a place to click on for 'buy' prices.
I can't get it to link.

What should I ask for in a sale? Do you ask for spot or under? I have some I would like to sell.

You won't be able 'to ask' for anything with silver coinage. You just
look around for the best deal to sell.
Kitco...$10.50 for a 90%
3.88 for a 40%
These are the value of halves with full weight.
Where do you live? Someone here might know the
best/closet to you. B/S/T is good too.
