Somewhat OT - PayPal Spending Limit When Unverified

I just received a warning on my secure PayPal account that I am close to hitting my spending limit. I am not verified because I do not link a bank account and do not care to.

Any advice on how to continue to use PayPal without linking it to a bank account in order to be "verified"?

If you're in the US, I think your spending limit is $100? The only way to remove that limit is to get verified. There are only 2 ways to get verified. If you don't want to link your bank account, try option 2 with their credit card programs.

I started a 2nd checking account for paypal only, and used the debit card as the credit card on record.

    This is from Paypal's Help:

There are two ways to get Verified.

    * Add and confirm your bank account.
    * Get approved for a PayPal Plus Credit Card, or PayPal Buyer Credit. To apply for a PayPal Plus Credit Card, click the Plus Card link at the bottom of any PayPal page.

My spending limit was $10,000. They seemed happy enough to let me spend that much. Curious policy.

I received that warning too, but I ignored it. They have my credit card number .. that should be all they need. They have no business knowing my bank account number.

When I went over the limit, they increased it, and I've had no problems since.

Yep, back in the day before I started selling (and therefore added a bank acct) PP would always raise my limit the few times I actually hit it.
